Exactly. The important lessons are that Quaker State Conventional and Pennzoil Conventional meet the specifications they claim, and the product isn't always going to be identical to the spec sheet, which fluctuates from time to time, and Shell (like every other oil company) flubs data up from time to time.
If it meets the specifications you require, and you like the price, the bottle, the company, whatever, buy it and use it. But Pennzoil Conventional and Quaker State Conventional aren't suddenly Mobil 1 0w-40 to everyone else being City Star. Now, I bet City Star's base stock fluctuates regularly.
