Why is that if you wear a seatbelt, own a fire extinguisher or learn CPR you are seen as a responsible adult but the minute you decided to carry a weapon, you are paranoid. People choose to midigate the dangers we may encounter in life by the use of tools and knowledge. I have never been involved in a car accident but I wear a belt, I have never been envolved in a house fire but I have extinguishers, smoke detectors and insurance. I have learned first aid and CPR but have never had cause to use that knowledge. Why is Self Defense considered by some to be such a unlikely danger?
