Code scanner suggestions

2012 F550 6.8, V10

Crank no start position. One mechanic think it's bad gas. The other it's the Camshaft position sensor. I need to pull the codes. Need a scanner, something in the $300 range.

its easy enough to use for scan lite on your phone, depending on what kind. You'll need a quality ELM dongle like: https://www.obdlink.com/products/obdlink-mxp/

If you need to be able to load/program modules it gets more complicated, but just to read code lite and a dongle will do it.

I have a Veepeak obd2 plus, was around $40-45, tells you what apps you can use with it. I use obd fusion ($5 or $10 app I forget, but have free ones too). For just reading codes it does the job

Also have an Innova 5410, got on eBay for under $100 brand new
