Clunk in drivetrain

I had a 95 Firebird Formula, sounds like the rear end bearing problems I had. My buddy is a GM mechanic, and he told me he works on a lot of them.

I had that problem with an old 1974 Chevy C-10. Don't know how it came loose but apparently was a fairly common problem with high mileage Chevies. The truck was used for towing in the past. I loctited the nut w/red loctite and it never came loose again.
