closeout q horsepower at wallys!

hi, im new to posting however, i have been reading the forum for awhile! anyway, i just got back from walmart in the dayton ohio area and they were closing out the quaker state q horsepower synthetic 5w20 and 10w30 5 quart jugs for 7.00 at the store in englewood ohio! maybe it's to make room for the pennzoil ultra once the aisle display runs its course!

I just came from Walmart and they are still $18 a jug. I have about 4 Walmarts under watch. funny thing is one clearanced the qts, but not the jugs, go figure.

I loaded up here in Dothan Alabama with the 5W20 when it went to $5.00 a 5 quart Jug. Have enough for both our vehicles now for two or 3 years.

They had 5W30 and 10W30 too.

I loaded up on this oil before, and it's an outstanding oil for that closeout price. I can't remember now the exact price I paid before, however it was around $8. I will be checking walmart out soon, however as soon as I cleared half the shelf, I went back to get the 10w-30, and rest of 5w-30, within a few hours they had it marked back up, and moved to bottom, where it still sits today gathering dust.

I'm about an 1 hour from Dayton. I haven't seen any Q-HP being closed out here. I don't think they have anything but ultimate durability or whatever the new name for synthetic Q.

hi mechanicx, at this walmart in englewood they still have the q horsepower however i havent seen the "newer" ultimate durability at this store. back in mid january i bought the 5 quart q for 18.00 in the 5w30 at this store... wish i would have waited! lol.

Walmart closeouts are very, very random. As I posted in another thread, I purchased a 5 qt jug of PP for $9 at a walmart 15 minutes away from me. Today, I went to a different walmart 5 minutes from me, and it was full price @ $23
