yesterday i posted that my sisters 2000 jeep cherokee that was parked with nobody around had a problem with her horn that starting sounding steady...It seems that the clockspring needs to be replaced, the horn won't shut off and the air bag light is on and also the engine runs really rough and threw a code (i did not have time to scan it)
It seems that the only place to get a clockspring is from the stealer at around $185.00 with my shop discount does anyone know where i can get an aftermarket one or anything cheaper?
Did anyone ever do this before? Any tricks? We mostly do engines here.

no aftermarket, did one about 2 mos ago as they also cause cruise control issues and engine shut downs and tps codes as it shorts inside to the transmission controller doing all kinds of weird [censored]. sorry no cheap fixes and It is air bag dont put yourself in a position of defense down the road as no matter how kind you were trying to be to save them money at the time becomes irrelevant then. I wanted to do the same and decided I didnt engineer it, I didnt make it, I'm here to fix it safe.
