My car is a pearlescent White and I hate... HATE blue, orange, or green stains left by my washer fluid! I know it supposed to be blue for safety reasons and to protect meatballs from thinking its water but has anyone found a decent washer fluid that has no color? I know it's possible because although most glass cleaners are blue (spray bottles) Armor All and several others now have clear. can anyone help?

I have never seen clear, but I have this purple [censored] in my tank right now and it actually is the closest color to clear that I've seen for washer fluid.

That's all I can offer you... That's my findings though.

Home brew:
You can mix up RV antifreeze (propylene gly) w/50% HOH and a pinch of DW detergent. This should yield a -25F freeze point.

i noticed the cheaper no-name stuff leaves color residue on the hood of my car but rain x and peak windsheild washer is pretty good at not leaving [censored] behind

Runs awesome. I do have a few quirks I am trying to resolve with better quality products and upgrades. Here's a little sample...

Super shift lag from first to second if you really get on it. Redlines for what feels like minutes during the switch. It's prob only 5 secs or less but I cringe everytime I forget I'm not in the Acura and punch it.

Lights dim when you get hard on the brakes, roll windows down, turn the stereo up, fan on, any thing beyond just driving the car. Hard stop on the brakes has the ABS management system working so hard it nearly stalls the [censored] thing. Done it since day one of owning it... My '09 test drive SX4 with 34 miles on it did the same thing...

That doesn't kill the paint? and no adverse effects on the WWF pump?

no just add 8 oz, vinegar is a mild cleaner,u can experiment on strength,,its cheap, grew up cleaning windows in the house on it.

It might work in Tennessee, but in New Hampshire or Alaska you would be buying a new WW reservoir.

Washer fluid is just diluted methanol, which is clear, with a smidge of detergent added to wash off dirt. You can make your own by buying methanol (aka wood alcohol, aka methyl hydrate) at the drug store and then add an equal amount of water. Try looking in the camping fuel area.

The OP lives in NH so a mix of vinegar and water would only work in the warmer months.

I use the Mr. Clean premium windshield wash fluid( summer and winter blends as needed ). It is a green color. I get it at the local ace hardware store as a rule. I have a light silver truck and it leaves no color stain behind. The stuff is expensive though at around $4 a gallon.

You won't like the residue from ANY additives or soaps.
Distilled water is best for you.
Isopropyl alcohol added in winter will work great to prevent freezing. It won't harm paint, but like any other fluid, may harm your wax.

RV antifreeze is available anywhere (walmart, etc) some are dyed some are not. With spring coming all you need is plain water and a drop or two of dishwashing liquid.

Publix supermarkets sell washer fluid, but its only good to +25 degrees.

Maybe OK in Florida where Publix is based but not good in the North Carolina mountains.
Ace hardware for the same price sells -25 degree washer fluid.
