The clear bra/xpel stuff isn't something you can keep putting on and off. It's a one time application. Once you take it off, you can't put it back on. You'd have to buy a new one.

However, if applied correctly, trapping moisture is not an issue. I had it on my headlights for a few years. You couldn't even tell it was there.

Too much money. Also, it's the automotive equivalent of plastic slipcovers. I would consider one or two pieces, but the kits that do a bunch of areas look silly. I could re-paint my hood 3 times for $1000 or get a carbon fibre and keep the oem one stored in perfect condition for later. A big whatever.
