Cleaning Funnels

I wipe as far down into the funnel as i can with a blue shop towel, then pass the rolled up tip of the shop towel down through the hole from the top, and pull it through. Works well enough for me.

Good grief! What's the next topic? An in-depth analysis of blowing your nose with a handkerchief, kleenex, paper towel, or a few squares of TP?
If using Paper towel... prefer bounty... or brawny.. right amount of toughness to use 1 sheet.. ;)

Dishwasher or washing machine

Come on, let’s go to ten pages at least!!!

For me, I use the dishwasher of course, with the dishes inside so I don’t waste the energy. Then I use the plushies of my wife’s towels to gently wipe them down and then I seal them in an airtight ziplock bag. I also store them inside the house, not the garage as to not expose the funnels to the extreme temps we have here in TX.

Wasn't there a member here a long time ago, that hooked up a used dishwasher in his garage, so he could wash car things, without the wrath of his better half? I vaguely recall something like that.

I think what I need is a rotary screw drive air compressor to blow the brake cleaner out of my funnel.

Ingersoll Rand 1.webp

All kinds of different ways to clean a funnel. The fastest and most convenient way I suppose would be brake cleaner and compressed air.

That's if you have compressed air available and can afford the price of brake cleaner at over $6 a can just for cleaning funnels.

What other ways are there to clean a funnel?
I like oil eater or the automotive Simple green used full strength.
