Is there any snake oil or such that’ll clean out the carbs on my echos? They always run rough on first start with a lot of smoke. After some time it leans out some and runs better. I assume there is varnish or something in the carb thanks

I met a gentleman at a flea market in Elizabethtown,Ky. He had a trailer full of OPE and was selling much of it quickly. I asked him where he had gotten all of that stuff. He told me he picks it up from the curb on trash day. I then asked him if he had to do a lot of work to get them going. He told me he replaces the fuel ines on some of them and then he put a 1/4 cup of Seafoam in them firsrt and primes them and then adds half a tank of fuel and runs them. My own father that died in 1998 had a weed eater blower that he had not run in years. It was mine now and I had lots of leaves. I did the same thing that he did to that thing and primed it and on the third pull it started and ran. My son could not believe it and we ran it all day.
