i have a few minor scratches on my CRV plastic instrument cluster . not sure how to clean and remove the scratches . Do the plastic polishes offered really work ? is the a trick to doing it ?

This is interesting since I am looking for something to polish the cover on my old turntable.

The stuff that the Navy uses to clean canopies is really good, but when I looked to buy it commercially, it was really expensive. There are some less expensive canopy cleaner/polish/protectants at the consumer aviation stores, but I haven't tried them.

That stuff is called Plexus and it works great and worth the cost...

Another product that I like and have used with success is Griot's Plastic All-In-One.

Pick one and follow instructions. Also good for plastic headlights and other lenses. I like Plexus and 210, LP makes very good products.

210 is nice. My FIL uses it for his motorcycle windscreen and helmet visors.

I wouldn't touch it personally. The clear plastic Honda uses for instrument panels seems especially prone to scratching.
