I had the intake pipe off my 3.0 toyota 4runner yesterday b/c I was doing a 3/4 ton GM master cylinder upgrade. I opened the throttle blade and noticed it was pretty nasty in there. So I sprayed some Carb cleaner and PB'Laster in there and wiped what I could with a rag from the throttle body. I let it sit for a few hours and then started it. Ofcourse it smoked... just like with Sea-foam. After about 10 minutes the smoke subsided and i drove it to the store and back. Notice that now the Idle is at 1,100rpm vs the 850ish it was. Any idea why the idle would be that much higher now?
