Is it any different than the synthetic citgo? I plan on using that next winter in the 5w30 grade. This is what i can find from Citgo in MN.

Yes, it's different, especially if you're concerned about the pour point.

I believe the Citgard line is a Diesel motor oil so keep that in mind. It is not widely distributed around my neck of the woods either. If I had a diesel I like the specs on their Citgard 600 sereis as well, for a non-syn. I did find a couple of garages that carry bulk Citgo oils for changes and they could get it for me, but the real problem was potentially in what volume.

Thanks...I think...maybe.

What's needed here is a "Three Musketeers" approach to solving the problem. You know, one for all and all for one, and a creamy chocolate coating on some unidentifiable material masquerading as food.

In that spirit I present to you the CITGO Locator, where we mere swashbuckling mortals can locate retail establishments which might carry the sought after Syndurance 0W-30.

If anyone hits paydirt, let the rest of us know. I have the feeling this isn't the type of oil that flies off the shelves of the corner CITGO gas station, so it'll probably be hard to find, and if found, will most likely be in regions with bitterly cold winters. Also, truck stops might be a more likely source.

I came up with 10 results, and ALL of them were gas stations (which means a 3x markup)...

I did kinda find that strange for a diesel oil to be a 30wt....hmmm. Seems like a nice viscosity too, just a hair above M1, and a hair below GC...

In my hometown they're all at 7/11 gas stations.

Does Citgo make new oil? Meaning: oil that is not recycled or reclaimed or reprocessed or however you want to say it.

I dropped by a CITGO and checked out their oil selection. Remember, if there's more than one from which to choose, then, technically, it qualifies as a "selection".

At the CITGO, there was no CITGO oil.

There was Kendall (for $0.60 more than Big Lots), Pennzoil and...drum roll...Empire, but no CITGO.

I asked the lady behind the counter if she could order any CITGO oil, and she said that they were not a CITGO, but rather a Circle K selling the CITGO brand of gas, and could order only what corporate allowed them to order.

I hope you guys have better luck than I did, though the search shall continue!

I see Citgo oils in supermarkets. In NY and NJ I've seen the synthetic at Shop-Rite.
