Umm, maybe you need to read closer. I said it's one of those that burns oil. Hence, I know it's an issue with these engines. I've noticed there isn't really much of anything that you don't know, so I would have thought you'd have picked that up.

My 2007 GC SXT (3.8L) likes to use about a half quart every 1000 miles, give or take. Something I have gotten used to in the 2 years we've owned it.

My current oil/filter combo is Pennzoil Synthetic Blend 5w30 with a Wix 1085. At $17 a jug at Walmart its tough to beat it. It is 50% synthetic to boot. I am not going to go the HM route, just going to stick with the PSB or Pennzoil Conventional 5w30. Topping off every 1000 miles is great for the add pack like others have stated.
