Chrome polish?

Wondering if anybody can comment on the following polishes? I’ve used all on chrome with good results but would any be strong enough to polish anything else? In other words which one is the most abrasive? The labels don’t really provide a lot of help. Basically looking for something comparable to flitz or semi chrome, no reason to buy another polish if I have something already!

I’m actually polishing some steel parts that I want to minimize tolerance changes on. Figured this would be the best place to ask about these particular products though.

Mostly marketing hype to increase sales of many different products. The polish used on paint is basically the same as used on chrome or many metals. The main variable is probably the grit. Meguiar's grades their products so you might start there.

I used some chrome polishing wool product in the past, though I can't recall the name. I switched to the Turtle wax chrome polish about 10 years ago and use it for everything, including the bathroom chrome. Shiny chrome is addicting....

If those faucets are either expensive or thirty years old or more then you have real chrome and it looks nice. So much stuff is just chrome Mylar over plastic or cheap metal. A few polish jobs later and you will start to see something you don’t want.

Me too. Works great, leaves a nice durable protective coating too...
