You're right SM. I'm starting to mix up the Chonda threads!

I have started to do a cross reference on parts. I have an 11HP Chonda with over 2000 hours on it. My friend has a Honda GX 340. I have ordered piston rings carb rebuild kit and spark plugs and a governor spring using his GX340 manual. All parts were a direct fit. The Chinese make a muffler for the GX engines that is OE quality and bolts right on to the Chonda (Jenn Feng) engine. The muffler is way better quality than the OE Chonda. I have done the same when we lost the gas cap on the kids Go Kart. I referenced a 6.5 GC owners manual to buy the gas cap and it was a direct fit. The most work I had to do was the piston rings. I ordered .0010 oversize and ground down .0008 of edge.

I am keeping all parts from dead Chondas from now on though!

Was the owner using a torque wrench when he twisted off the head bolt? A dab of blue Locktite on essential fasteners can save a lot of misery down the road....
