Chinese saw blades ???

Any framers in the mob? I have been checking out saw blades for my antique 7 1/4 and 5 1/2" circular saws. I'm just doing my own repair stuff now. But there was a time when I made my living putting houses together.
For about the same price they have always been, the blades are on display. But somewhere, in small letters, China.
I swore off Chinese food products reluctantly last year.Too spotty a record to inspire confidence. Too much pollution in land worn down by 4K yrs of agriculture.
A good saw spins at least 3k rpm, I'm guessing. Holding a spinning carbide tipped blade, albeit housed in an aluminum guard, in close proximity to my body, whilst cutting what ever, has given me a few close shaves. I'm not so sure, I want to add the adventure of Chinese metallurgy to the scenario. Can you still buy US made saw blades?

My hometown mom-and-pop store still sell them, but they ain't cheap.

Never had one come apart, or loose a tooth (unless I hit a screw, but even then, usually not)
You might want to invest in a new Saw, even the cheap Ryobi's will be streets ahead from what you have.

Nuh huh, you are gonna have to pry my all aluminum Craftsmen outta my cold dead fingers. I have re wired the cords and the saws are perfectly fine for my uses.
It was at my home town hardware that I first noticed the Chinese blades.

If you use them in wet weather, someone may have to do just that!

That is easy, I dont use'm in the rain. And my wiring is grounded right anyway. 8)
