Chinese Electric Sedan Just Broke Rimac’s Nurburgring EV Record

I mean I get that BYD is doing well, but they aren't sold in the US and even if they were, I'll support US workers with my money.
If they were sold in the U.S. Ford and GM wouldn't be able to compete.

AS far what country the products I buy originate from-it's impossible to know fully (what parts/ingredients, etc.,) and I don't care.
I just bought a Swedish made car-right now it's the best vehicle I have owned-time will tell.

I find it hard to believe that most people would buy Chinese cars. There's plenty of well made vehicles from other countries. I've owned many. I'm sure not buying a Chinese product for one of my most expensive items I use daily.

Not only that but the US mostly hates EVs or at least that's what I'm told.

I got a feeling they soon will be sold in the US.
Not only this, we are a tiny percent of the world population. We have a lot of money available mostly in loans from banks for those without savings.

I don’t think right now they care about us while they take over the rest of the world, which is still a challenge because they cannot ramp up production that fast. One must remember China has over 1 billion people in it alone.

I’m not thrilled about it after all they are bent on the destruction of our country and certainly not our friend. However, we can’t be hypocrites because anybody reading these posts are using equipment made in China.

Last and not the least, let’s not believe all media reports are just how good they are until proven. Makes great headlines, get back to us when these vehicles have 80+ thousand miles on them.

At the same time, our industry better get with the program and turn out well-made reliable cars at better price points

From articles over the last few years it sounds like the Chinese have missed the boat on selling in the USA. Geely and Cherry automotive purchased dealerships in the USA back in 2010 I think, but nothing came of it.

Geely does own Polestar. That's likely the closest we'll get for awhile.
