That's a lucky chicken.

Mom started her 80-something Buick one winter day and somehow knew to shut it down right away because a cat was sleeping in the fan shroud. It came out stiff as a board but alive, and woke up a little while later. It would jump every time a car started, though.
 
A guy discovered a cat sleeping in his fan shroud. I don't know if he started the engine or not.

However, he did take the cat in and named it....Motor. It purred loudly and with the circumstances, it was a natural choice.

A car can run like a "scalded dog" or a "raped ape" but the OP's car can run, "like a chicken with its head cut off".
