Below is the rear brake hoses for 05 Chevy Express 3500 rv chassis. Went under to check all the hoses since I was having some strange brake behavior. I know why they put the protective cover over but I bet half a cup of water poured out from the passenger side, the drivers side was wet but not full. Last weekend drove home in the rain, this rv sets 2-3 weeks between being driven. I bet those hoses have soaked in water for the last 20 years. And yes it was water not brake fluid.

I’ve already cut the cover off. I’m guessing due to the RV’s weight it loops down more so it won’t drain out. Would you just cut the whole thing off or just trim it so it does drain? I’m not worried about road debris since there’s a lot under there to hit first.

Was going to change out all the hoses next next year but we’re about to do a 8k trip so debating if I should now. Was just going to clean and relube front and back before the trip.
