Chevron syn-gear hd 75w-90 in volvo xc90?

Would this be a good choice for the angle gear and rear diff? I have several gallons on hand and would like to know if it will work in this application. Thanks!

What does the owners manual suggest?

The manual calls for 75w-90 full synthetic, and this oil is, however its marketed to the heavy equipment/ industrial machinery industry. The pds does say it passes the volvo 97312 specification, but that is heavy truck, not car.

If It's out of warranty, I wouldn't hesitate to run it.

Thank you. I was curious about that considering the automotive industry is all about pomp and circumstance. "Use this oil or ELSE!"

Coming from the heavy industrial side, I'm used to dealing with the engineering based theme. "Use ISO 46 or API CK-4 only."
