Not every vehicle is exposed to the same conditions. There are too many varibles to make a direct comparision on corrosion durability. I have a friend who has an '87 Chev Suburban. He bought a '90 Suburban for parts, that was WAY more rusted than his. Both trucks were winter driven and both were used in the same area, on the same roads. The '87 is still relatively rust free, and the '90 is a rolling pile of rust. I have seen this with several other vehicles as well.
