Check out the spread between unleaded and premium- Go Buc-ees Go!

Katy, just outside of Houston....the only Bucee's I've been to. What a junk store! I don't see the appeal. The car wash looked nice, but I was in a rental so that didn't help. The store is 3/4 of junk, who wants Bucee's pajamas? They had like 50 premade sandwiches out at 8 PM. Who wants an old sandwich that has been sitting out under a heat lamp for hours?
There must be a market. Chris Koerner is making a killing re-selling buc-ees merchandise online because buc-ees won't do it themselves. He literally buys the clothing, etc at retail prices direct from a buc-ees, resells it online with markup, and has made a $200k in two months.

If Buc-Ees was smart, they would put solar panels on top of their fuel island awnings…

Helped with a few recently, payback is now less than seven years…

Looking at those fuel prices make me wanna cry. New York has a pretty high gasoline tax. Friggin insane. Can't wait to move out of this hell hole state. Waitin on the wife to get her pension. On a positive note, where I live, it's always a seller's market. Gonna make some $$$ on the sale of this house :).....

According to GasBuddy, the pricing is now $2.39 / $2.34 / $2.44. So that mid-grade is still oddly priced. Other Buc'ees in TX have more normal spreads in pricing with each grade MORE expensive than the lower grade.

Road trip! For some Beaver Nuggets, spicy beef jerky, and maybe a Bucee's folding lawn chair? Totally worth it! The people watching alone puts any Walmart to shame 😁.
 Everyone keeps saying "OMG! You have to go to one, etc..." I am not big on gas station snacking or fast food in general so when I do finally see one it will be interesting I suppose.

Few points.... 1) It's a small store, not a "gas station". By similar standards though, they're huge. I really don't venture into the non-gas-station-type stuff part of the store but have in the past and they sell clothing (mostly Buc'ees branded stuff), home decor (I mentioned earlier that's it's what I call "old lady home decor), kitchen stuff, souvenir type items, cooking grills and smokers, outdoor items like tents, chairs, and so on. 2) The 'hot' food is probably a step (or two) above "fast food". Search YT for videos of their barbecue section. 3) Don't go on a weekend. Ideally, find a location that's been open for a couple years or so and isn't on an interstate highway.

Speaking of ones near interstate highways, in some cases, the state has to reconfigure or expand the adjacent highway off-ramp. At the one being built in Ohio, the off-ramp is being expanded from one lane to two, the stop sign is being replaced by a stop light, and an additional road lane is being added from the off-ramp to the Buc'ees entrance.

We are getting our first Buc-ees here in AZ( opens in 2026) , I might have to go check it out.
