This filter and Valvoline Syn was off friends 18’ Ford Fusion I posted in “post your latest oil change” few days ago. Was on for 4,600 miles 2.0 engine in fusion. Put some CARQUEST Syn 5w30 and Fram ultra 3614 in and on.

any idea who the manufacture is? I've never seen 6 holes like that at the top of a filter, weird.

My guess, this is a "Champion" OF made by Champ Labs. Seems fitting. I'm only aware of Champ Labs using a "clicker" type bypass like this one. Years ago, posted a Champ Labs made STP S2808 with same type bypass.

Unique bypass, but looks ok.

^^^ Yep, "clicker" type bypass valve on the dome end. Not sure I like clicker bypass valves any more than combo ADBV/bypass valves.

Yeah, don't really know how I feel about it, but tops a combo valve imo. Only used on basic, jobber tier like filters, so tells you something. Element looks fine, infinitely better than the Auto Extra garbage 53 posted today.
