I certainly don't want to #@$%! in my own drinking water but have any of those stupid tree huggers ever stop and think about the fact that all the oil we have in our cars came out of the ground to start with.
All that oil in Alaska and we can't touch it. I guess it is much better to be slaves to a bunch of crooked-nose sand monkeys with pampers on their heads from OPEC.

That isn't why, it's because we aren't like THEM.

All this re-cycling talk is nice, but who knows what AA is doing with my old oil? Or Walmart? Jiffy-Stooge? What really becomes of it?

My cousin burns oil to heat the house up in Massachusetts, we store her oil engine (and sometimes mine if it's OCI-time) oil in a 5 Gallon pail, when it's full I take it to her AA up there. She was speculating whether she could burn it in her oil burner-heater. Yes? No? Wouldn't that be as constructive a use for it as any?

What's so hard to understand that it's a sellable item in bulk? You take it to AZ,or Walmart (or Me) and it becomes MONEY FOR NOTHING!!! You give it to us (admittedly I would be the smallest player here) and we SELL IT! 98% profit, wish there were more coming my way!

Have no idea what oil furnace system cousin has but if storage tank is 200-500 gallon a five gallon bucket would be pretty diluted mixed in there.

Now that you mention it, they always seem to do about 450 when the contract oil guys come out..
