River_rat in the linked thread does a decent job of explaining how Champ combo valve is supposed to work. The second inner set of holes,( not shown in the OP's vid/pics) are the bypass holes. Instead of using Wix's channels built into the nitrile grommet, Champ design diverts the flow of the oil to the inner bypass holes when a certain psid is reached. Note comments in link too.

And note like Wix's design it too is patented. Can't see how with either design though one would know how the bypass was operating correctly during operation. I'll stick with traditional separate adbv and metal bypass.
