And we don't know the soldiers background, where he served, etc. Some of those guys have prices on their heads.
That is an interesting point, one which I had not considered.

It would certainly change the threshold of behavior, or nature of behavior, at which he would perceive a threat.

He may, as a result, have a very different view of the world than your typical homeowner.
 
If this guy was a Chechen , fresh off the boat so to speak then he's probably not used to being a diplomat . That's a different world over there with a violent history . Disputes are settled in a completely different way if you get my drift ...
 
Like I said earlier, if I was to shoot someone, you better believe I'm going to tell the deputies that he "became aggressive and lunged". Yes sir, that man was absolutely deranged! *wink*

It works for police so it will work for "us".

I mentioned it way earlier in the thread - dead men can't talk. The shooter can make up any version of events he/she wants as long as it fits the scene. And seriously, how in-depth will a local sheriff's department do against a military officer and a foreigner (especially one of Eastern European descent) ?
