I can chime in on one thing...most people around here will scream snake oil about almost anything...even if they haven't used it...I ran into this a few years ago about the product Tufoil..everyone said it was ----...but no one could back that up..so I bought some..ran a used oil analysis..and founf they were correct ...but at least I had some science behind it..most were just yelling for the sake of yelling.
So ..if you have used it..and are happy ..how about a UOA ???? I had a before and after with the Tufoil ..basically all it did was shoot a hole in the TBN ..and a wear went up a small amount ...

I have tried Tufoil, 8 years ago, over period of 20000 kilometers. It did nothing, in regards to noise, fuelconsumption and oilconsumption. A UOA can be good, but I think an exhaust gas test can give some answers too, especially in a diesel, since you don't have any sparkplug condition to considder.
