Mine ran like a pig yesterday on my short commute so I spent a happy hour last night pulling the main jet stacks and pilot jets to get the water out. It's a ritual that I do it at least once every winter so it never does turn to crud. No question the water comes from the breather though. One of these days I should do what you've done before another 10 years goes by.
