Thanks for all of the responses so far!

I let it soak for about 3 days before washing it off, will certianly try longer.

I think I will try the anti icky poo next if needed. Just work my way down the list of options.

It is indeed a male cat who did it. It's been a pet mess here. My roommates dog had knee surgery so was not allowed up the stairs so my roommate started sleeping downstairs to keep the dog company. We took the couch apart so the dog would not have a high jump to get on it. So now with couch cushions on the floor, my female cat went on those. Then the male cat went on the dog bed. Then on the dog bed again. Female cat on the table. And on and on.
Female cat is fine (just had her at the vet) but been a pee fest for the last month here.

I think we have gone through three gallons of Natures Miracle since the dog had her knee worked on.

Yea, then the problem will be bird droppings. Set something else that is the same size out for the amount of time you are planing on setting the luggage out, and see if bird droppings are a problem, before you do it with the actual luggage.

If the construction of the luggage does not have paper, cardboard, or small locks, would you be able to just get a hose out and some dish-washing soap and a sponge or wash rag to give it a good washing and a rinse?

Cats are some strange animals. No matter how nice of a litter box you provide, they always seem to find some place in the house to take a leak. I have two cats myself.....kind of wishing I didn't have them now. They like to pee in my wood box for my wood stove. Nothing I can do about it apparently. I like them....but sometimes!!

I am going to have to give my 11 year old male cat a medal and a ton of treats after reading this entire thread...He does zero of those things that are listed here..In fact he covers up his stuff so well in his box I can not even tell half of the time if he did anything.

His tail is always up in the air when he walks around the house when I am home so I guess he is a happy camper.

Almost any pet store will have the enzyme type solution AKA Nature's Miracle. VERY effective, but must touch the problem to digest it.

Can't let it dry up too fast either, so wrap it up in a plastic bag afterwards.

It will still need cleaning!

Smokescreen: its all fun and games until it happens to you! If it makes you feel any better the SMELL is kill me too!

I wonder if you pee'd on the cat if it would teach it a lesson.

Cat's are such a darn annoyance. It seems that people that own them think that because they aren't a dog they can let them stray onto other people's property and spray and pee on it without it being a "problem".

When stray cats arrive on my property they are trapped and transported to the local ASPCA.
