I've been using the donaldson elf7405 on my personal 7.3 powerstroke truck, but I've been thinking of switching to the cat 244-44484. Cost isn't really the issue - I just want to use the best and feel that the Cat filter may be a bit better than the donaldson, neglegable difference, I'm sure, but, sometimes I just like to spend more money on solutions looking for a problem.
I'm wondering if anyone has used the cat filter and whether or not it fits, I believe it's a bit bigger than the donaldson and may interfere with the oil pan etc. If someone has given it a try, I'd like to hear from you.
