Over the past few weeks, I have changed the ATF in three vehicles using Castrol Import Multi Vehicle ATF...01 Lexus RX-300, 4+ qts, 04 Altima 2.5S, 5+ qts and 06 Mazda3 2.0L, 3+ qts. I only did a drain and refill on all three transmissions but, I must say that every one of those transmission is performing normally.
On the back label of the Castrol bottle, is says that this fluid is sutable for Honda Z-1, Toyota T-IV, Nissan Matic D, J, K and others including ATF-4. No mention of Mazda M-V(but may have mentioned MerconV) but that transmission is the smoothest of the three vehciles beleive it or not.
The Altima transmission shifts "on time" IMHO(crisp but, smooth just the same) and the Lexus is a bit lazy on the 1-2 shifts and down shifts and it's always been that way but, otherwise it's a fine transmission and the Mazda3 is just plain smooth from gear to gear.
I have kept up on these transmissions since ownership so, sometimes I feel that Im wasting fluid since all three vehicles ATF came out red and unburnt looking. I don't care though as I beleive that the auto transmissions are a week link in todays vehicles.
Anyone wondering wheather or not to use this Castrol IMV ATF, well, I just used it in three different makes and everything is A.O.K thus far. Yeah, I know, time will tell but, everything seems normal. This fluid didn't make any of these transmissions better so, there is a compliment here. To say there is no change, is often the best compliment!

If you go to Castrol Web Site it says Castrol Import Multi Vehicle is Mazda M-V compatible. I use it in my 2007 Fusion with the 5 speed auto and it works fairly well.

I am going to keep using Castrol unfortunately my transmisson is very harsh. Nothing seems to help. I am waiting for my next UOA to make my next decision.

I agree that Mazda's transmission is really smooth on Castrol IMV ATF, I really like it in my car, good bang for the buck.

AHHH! you have the same year and drivetrain. Yes, engine and transmission are both very smooth and MPG is great.

I use Mobil 1 ATF in both Fords and they shift great. The Fusion must use Mazda M-V or MC FRN-5 which Mobil 1 ATF meets.
