Looks to be a decent oil. I would definitely use it.
Thanks for sending this in and having it tested! But wow.. no Titanium.. guess it's not "the same" as Magnatec after all.. I tested the Magnatec version (5w30) a couple years ago and it did have Ti in it.. I like that it's thick now, but have to see some UOA's before I'm into the new version.
Yeah, it's just another random run of the mill oil now. Might as well be Kirkland, Supertech, or AmazonBasics.
So, can someone educate me here: is Magnatec being replaced? Sorry if I missed it

Looks like they added more Zinc and a little more Phos and Moly and got rid of the titanium. I'm ok with that, Valvoline did the same with Advanced. Running this in my Lucerne next.

Thanks to everyone who posted that the new Magnatec "recipe" was out. I couldn't wait, I liked the specs. I searched around and I was able to find it at walmart (had it before anyone else) and it's in my project civic car now. I sent this VOA to Blackstone and just got it back today. Look at...

Just out of curiosity, was this the Dexos Gen 2 version or Gen 3?

Date sheet from their site says it's a little thicker at 11.4, one of the reason I wanted to try this.
Imo, that gives it a leg up on the "Pennzoil Synthetic" offering. No Dexos cert for PS.
That's their "Typical Characteristics" I'm sure there is a give and take depending on the batch made and how Wix tests
They recently released the Gen 3 version. I wonder if anything significant changed.
