I have a Yamaha RXZ135, it is a 2 stroke 135cc bike, reed valve, boost bottle and expansion chamber in the exhaust, nothing fancy like a new Aprilia or the likes.

Currently it has 11,000 miles, I've always used the Yamalube 2S, and so far so good.

This month my budget is a little bit tight and I ran out of 2 smoke oil, so I decided to get some Castrol 2T oil from Wallmart as I had some food cupons instead of predating my savings

I'm concerned about using the Castrol oil.

The Yamalube is Jaso FC while the Castrol is Jaso FB/API TC, the Yamalube is supposed to be semi-sinthetic (for whatever that means) while the Castrol is a honest to ________ dinosaur oil.

So...

Is the Castrol more or less the same quality as the Yamalube 2S or is it a lot worse oil? Mostly I'm concerned about the carbon buildup and the life of the Catalyzer on my bike (yes, it has one). I know that the two quarts I got aren't going to clog the exhaust port, nor the catalyzer, but I'm wondering, how much is the difference between them.

FYI, Castrol 2T $3.25 USD, Yamalulbe 2S $4.35 So it is not that much of a saving, it was just that I could get it using food cupons.

being jaso fb the castrol is a little dirtier than the yamalube fc oil. but for 2 quarts, dont worry about it.
i run the t2 in my 350cc banshee exclusively.
