Unfortunately a PayPal or Venmo account is required to receive these rebates, according to the rebate terms and conditions. I have neither.

"The Rebate: $10 Cash back via Venmo or Paypal. Having a Venmo or Paypal account is required to receive the rebate. "

Times are interesting b/c Castrol isn't as interested in rebate promotions as the other big brands.

And Paypal no longer automatically send out new debit cards when they expire. They emailed me saying I had to use the debit card in order for them to consider sending it. I didn't bother so it'll just have to be transferred into the linked bank account.

How It Works:

Promotion Period:  The Promotion begins at 12:00:01 AM Central Time (“CT”) on December 21, 2025, and ends at 11:59:59 PM CT on March 31, 2026 (the "Promotion Period").  For the Rebate and automatic entry for the Sweepstakes, purchase of an Eligible Product from a Qualifying Retailer or Workshop must be completed by March 31, 2026, and submission received by April 30, 2026. For the free method of entry for the Sweepstakes, all entries must be postmarked by March 31, 2026, and received by April 30, 2026.
Eligible Products: Castrol GTX Full Synthetic, Castrol GTX Full Synthetic High Mileage, Castrol EDGE, Castrol EDGE High Mileage, Castrol EDGE Extended Performance, Castrol EDGE Euro
Qualifying Retailer or Workshop:
Business or workshops that operate one or more physical retail locations open to the public, and
Processes the transaction directly through its own point-of-sale system or its own branded website, and
Does not act primarily as an online marketplace or platform for third-party sellers.
For clarity, a business that operates a marketplace or platform for multiple sellers shall not be considered a Qualifying Retailer with respect to any purchases made through that marketplace or platform interface.

The Rebate: $10 Cash back via Venmo or Paypal. Having a Venmo or Paypal account is required to receive the rebate.

Purchase Requirement: One (1) 5 Qt. Jug OR Five (5) 1 Qt. bottles OR Oil Change, of any Castrol full-synthetic motor oil from the list of Eligible Products from a Qualifying Retailer or Workshop as defined above.
To receive your Rebate: Visit www.castrolpromotion.com (“Website”) and follow the directions to complete and submit an official entry form, including uploading a copy of the original receipt showing the location (including address), specific eligible product, price paid, receipt total and date of purchase (which must be made during the Promotion Period).
Once verified, entrants will receive $10 PayPal or Venmo cash back (“Rebate”). Having a Venmo or Paypal account is required to receive the Rebate. Valid proof of purchase or oil change clearly showing the Eligible Product purchased at a Qualifying Retailer or Workshop is required.

Nice!

Might use this bad boy and grab some 5w-30 GTX Full Synthetic for my daughter’s Hyundai. Already have a filter on hand. Got that with last year’s Pennzoil rebate gift card. Oil change is due in April so I can pick it up here in a month or so from Walmart. Sub $15 oil change 👍. Electronic rebates are the best. Easy to do and no waiting for a check in mail. Just throw it in the Venmo.

Looks like Amazon and Walmart should be eligible, just make sure it's NOT sold by a marketplace vendor. See the "For Clarity" part above.
I think they're trying to exclude ebay and Etsy etc but I would argue it lacks clarity:

".....a business that operates a marketplace or platform for multiple sellers shall not be considered a Qualifying Retailer...."

Seems one could easily argue Amazon IS a business that operates a marketplace for multiple sellers.

While ebay offers a marketplace ONLY for multiple sellers, Amazon both sells items itself AND for other sellers. So, does this mean Amazon is ok? I'd say the verbiage does not guarantee it.....still open to interpretation if they wanna be difficult.

Yeah, hard to say 100% sure. If anyone tries it, would recommend that it is shipped and sold by Amazon. Best chance of success.

Amazon is an option in the drop down menu for stores. Just checked it. Good to go.

looks like we need a sweepstakes lawyer and a rebate lawyer.

I read it as this…
- there is only one rebate allowed for this promo
- however different promos can have multiple allowed (just not this particular one) and if they do, website transactions may be required to be separated. ie, not one transaction.
- and you can participate in multiple promos at once as long as you do different transactions for each promo. You cannot use one purchase for separate promos.
