I have Triumph Tiger 800 XC and have an engine oil question. I had been using Castrol EDGE 10W-40 full synthetic but in the last oil change I switched to Castrol RS4T Racing oil full synthetic 10W-40. My question is, for the next oil change, since I have a quart of the EDGE left, could I combine the EDGE with the RS4T Racing without risking harming my engine?
I would like to use up the oil but certainly not at any risk to my motor.

Thanks for any help in advance.

Okay, I have a question about this one. The issue was mixing without damage to the engine. If I were mix different weights of oil other than spec'd for my engine, would I not be risking engine damage?

Depends what weights and in what ratios. Also if you mix in an automotive oil that is marked "Resource Conserving", you can possibly cause clutch slippage issues on bikes that have a shared sump/wet clutch system(especially on a clutch with quite a few miles on it).
