On a recent Carfax it said the car was in an accident. I was wondering, is there any way to
find out how bad it was? I was thinking if it was not too bad it would be a good way of
negotiating a better price. Thanks guys

The insurance claim report(has pics) or body shop who fixed if they keep that file.

Otherwise no way except inspecting it and insurance won't give that up likely.

If you have to ask (and can't figure it out inspecting hands-on) this is not the car for you.

Remember, someone who doesn't run a carfax or care about it will buy this car, and the seller's waiting for this person.

If you want to make an offer, make an offer. You don't even really need an excuse.

Just be glad it was even reported. Many many body shops out there don't report to Carfax. And this includes some chain body shops and dealerships.
