carbed outboard fuel treatment

94 115 Yamaha 2 stroke.

Since Seafoam seems to be looked down upon here, what is the next choice to run a few times a summer in a carbed outboard?

Berryman B12 too strong, I assume? What else - is Yamaha's Ringfree meant for their DFI engines ?

Pulling boat out of storage this weekend, and would like to get something for the first tank of the year.

Hmm...
All my seasonal engines get a dose of seafoam in the last tank of gas before putting them away with that full tank of gas/seafoam.
Haven't rebuilt a carb in over 6 years.

I thought I read that Techron isn't designed for 2 stroke motors ??

Berryman B12 is not too strong and quite possibly the best thing there is for carb engines, like anything dosing properly is key.

Think the outboard OEM rebadged Techron but a bit stronger … or catch the sales and dump it strong …
Have used like 20 ounce bottle in 12 gallons of fuel …

My only complaint about Seafoam is its price. It was originally marketed for marine use. You know what BOAT means? Berryman's is cheap. The fact it comes in a can tells you it can melt plastic. It is the first thing I use to revive a varnished OPE carb..

Techron will work wonderfully. In the past Ring Free was made by Chevron, don't know if it still is or not.
