I got them all but #9 was difficult. Papa bear gave me some help there.

I own #23 on this list, but in red paint with a fastback.

You could create havoc in the minds of multitudes.

Create a puzzler akin to this then purposefully input incorrect answers into the key.

Tremendous amounts of frustration created across the land.

So whats #9?

When I first saw it, immediately thought it was Ford, which of course is wrong. After Papa Bear mention Meteor and Monarch, I knew why I thought it was Ford - it was a Meteor. For those of you who don't know, in Canada, Mercury dealers sold the Meteor Brand as a low priced Ford equivilant, while Ford Dealers sold Monarch as high priced Mercury equivilant. So, we ended up with these half breed cars, where a Meteor was a Ford with unique trim and a Monarch was a Mercury with unique trim.

In short, I believe the car to be a 1956 Meteor Rideau as shown here:

http://www.56meteor.com/56page.htm

It just never occured to me that the quiz could include these rare Canadian only cars. They are even very rare here in Canada today.

Here is a little history on the Meteors, Monrachs, and the Frontenac, which were all Canadian Unique cars.

(Follow the links on the above page to get a history on the different makes).

P.B.

Hadn't thought about that. Let me work on it a while. I got the Corvettes, Mustangs and Chargers right away.

Good test...most of them were new when I was in grade school..I managed to get about 48 of them...a lot of the others I knew the brand but didn't know the model..is there an answer key so we know what the ones we missed are?

I missed 6, 9, 17, 19, 26, 27, 28, 30, 35, 39, 42 and 50. (85% correct)

The one that is SO aggravating is #35....am I looking at that wrong or is that not a retracting headlight??? Looks like a fairly recent car, but I could be looking at it wrong.

Anyway, not bad considering some of these cars are older than I am. :-)

Our Canadian Pontiacs were cool too ... I had a new 1965 Pontiac Parisienne 2dr hardtop which at first glance looked like a Bonne. Closer inspection, though, revealed that it wasn't a "wide track" and that the car was built on a Chevy chassis.,
Mine was a 300hp 327c.i. with a 4 speed stick. One of the nicest cars I owned.
I found a picture of a white '65 Parisienne (mine was light blue)

Yeah, the Pontiacs were neat cars as well. That '65 Parisienne is one sharp car. I still have a couple of parts from an '62 Parisienne sitting in my garage. Don't forget the Beaumonts and Acadians too though. They were also very unique.

Remember the Pontiac 261 "big six" offered on the Pontiacs instead of the 235 in Chevys? My uncle had a '58 Pontiac Pathfinder with the 261 six. He still talks about that car to this day.
