Guys,

I don't know where to vent except here at my very fave web site in the whole wide world.

Saw my 42yo cousin dying of cancer this month up in northern WI...picked up my sister up in Chicago, her husband was slurring his speech. This week, she found out that he has 'preliminary diagnosis' of ALS. He's not even 40, 3 kids all under 7.

An older friend of mine had not one but two major strokes. Miraculously, he only has minor issues, though he's not 100% by a long shot.

Getting a chance to change the ATF to Amsoil on my Montego seems so small with all of life's challenges.

Oh yeah, and I found out I'm losing my job within 45 days due to internal [censored] politics.

At least this Three Floyd's Alpha King tastes good.

And why am I watching the Cubs game? #needtogetalife

God is in control, right? I sure hope so....

Best of luck. Seems like June has been a challenging month for many. My lovely spouse just lost her job from cuts at work, and tuition for college goes up July 1. I sometimes think the devil somehow wrangled 51% of the stock, and now has controlling interest.

I am very sorry to hear all that but hang in there and yes God is in control..Since January 2011 it has been a complete nightmare for me also but not getting into that now..I felt like giving up but then thought again

Sorry to hear about that Mike. I hope things work out, especially your job situation. I've been having a fit over immaterial things like my cell phone not working and various car problems. Put's things into perspective - family and friends are what we/I should be worrying/caring about.

Thanks guys. A realignment of life's priorities is proper every now & then to keep our focus on what really matters.

A sense of humor helps in this time as well.

Cousin died this morning. Cancer won.

I can't begin to say how glad I am that we made the whirlwind 2,000 mile trip to see her a few weeks ago.

The memories of people living mean so much more than seeing them in a box.

God's control and help is NOT automatic.
"We have not because we ask not".

[And if you ask amiss for lustful things, you are also on your own!]

Sorry to here about your loss, and problems. I need to pray more myself, and will keep you in my prayers.

I left Alaska commercial fishing last season with my brother half way through the season because he was an idiot. Almost sank the boat. I thought we had an understanding this season that things would be different, but I left after a week in disgust. He was starting to beat on the boat again and was under the influence at the helm. I did graduate with an ATA this June and am getting ready to hit the road for a real job.

I just wish the economy was better in the marine industry.
