I have two H8 batteries from my boat sitting in my shed. Walmart Platinums that are perfectly good. My 2014 2500HD 6.0l Vortec is showing some struggle in it's crank and I am adding a 3000w inverter in the back bed. Since I'm finishing up running the wiring tomorrow wondering if I can just replace the batteries with my two H8. I'm sure someone could go say "go look" but they're heavy as hell and right now it's super muddy as we're having hurricane level storms so I can't get outside just yet.

I would assume it is pretty easy considering the Duramax has two from the factory. I would check on how Chevy did it from the factory. The easy way would be to put a battery box in the bed/cab and wire from there. Use good quality welding wire.

I already have dual batteries under the hood. It’s a vortec. Just wondered if H8s would fit, under the hood.
