I have read here that certain waxes/polishes cannot be layered. Others can.

I was wondering about the Eagle 1 Nanowax. It's a caranuba(sp) wax, but it is in a solvent in the spray bottle. I was wondering if it would simply dissolve itself off if I tried to apply a 2nd layer, or if it could be layered.

Thanks.

Their website says nothing about cleaning ability, just a lot of talk about it filling in swirls and such. Given that, you'll probably get good results applying a second coat, or even a third, to hide the swirls even more. At the very least give it a shot and see if YOU like the results. You certainly won't damage anything and at the very worst you'll just waste a tiny bit of product. Give it a shot and see what YOU think.

I did put a 2nd coat on. I can't tell the difference personally. My car is white, so I can't see any swirl marks that may be there. It is nice and shiny though!

It's difficult to see swirls in white paint, but in direct sunlight they will show up - you almost have to burn your retinas out to see them sometimes though!

Depending on environmental conditions I would apply the wax of your choosing every two to four months and clay the car once or twice a year followed by a good cleaner wax. That should keep things smooth and shiny for a good long time.

Or you could do like I do and stock an arsenal of products to maintain my four vehicles, and machine polish as needed to keep them swirl free all year long. Then again, all of my cars are dark colors so any little imperfections show up that much easier!!
