camry fuel filter

Hi Guys.
Does anyone know why Camry's in tank fuel pressure regulator has a fuel filter?
4 cylinder 5sfe Camry's.(SXV20R)
This model have 3 fuel filters.
1)In line Fuel filter near firewall under the air filter box.
2)Stainer under the fuel pump.
3)Attached to the fuel pressure regulator.

I would not worry about the number of filter, rather worry about how easy they are to change. A strainer in the tank before the pump is normal to protect the pump. And another one between the pump and injectors.

No its a round plastic filter with a large paper element.
