California AutoZone GC Hitlist

Here's a list of all the AutoZones I've hit for GC. Hopefully this will save everyone some time! I travel around a lot through the South Bay, East Bay, and Davis area. It's too tempting to visit an AutoZone if its "on the way"... I haven't even tried this stuff in my car yet, but I'm addicted! I have 35 qts of Green GC. So I'm not "actively" searching for Green anymore. Best of luck to the remaining hunters.

AZ has a special bulletin that has been forwarded to stores in California. Some weird guy is taking a Castrol inventory.

It'll be a little hard for those in the Inland Empire (Ontario, California) area. I went to 7 different Auto Zones around here. i was finally able to acquire 8 bottles of Green GC (i stopped searching after that). I got 4 bottles from the Sierra/Baseline and 4 bottles again from Mango/Foothill (very funky location) stores. That was it for those stores too. The other five stores didn't have anything but M0502+ / M0507+ and M06 bottles. I would guess that there is more Green GC to be found beyond here though. I didn't even get into Rialto, Colton, or San Bernardino. I wonder how norco, mira loma and corona would be too.

I'm just back from the Watsonville store with 10 quarts of gold for the wifes Camry. There are several more gold there and some old American made stuff. Why are they still shipping the old US made stuff from the wherehouse out here? It showed up this past week. John

An inventory readjustment. They pull the old stuff from the stores where it doesn't sell and send it to the most active stores, where GC tend to sell the fastest.

talk around here is that there's plenty of green to be had in lands east of here. They say somewhere around Yuciapa, Highland or North San Bernardino, there's a little near-impossible-to-find AZ on top of some hill. Rumor has that it's just a lil' 3-car parking lot store run by an ol' man (who looks like a wizard) with cases of vintage M04 stacked on his shelves. I'm plannin' on packin' up and headin East ASAP in search of this store. There's Green in them hills!!

Just bought 12 qts of GREEN GC at the AZ on Mira Mesa Blvd. in San Diego. They have 8 more quarts on the shelf, I just couldn't bring myself to spend that much $$ when I'm not sure which car(s) it will end up in. I will have to check for the batch #, but looks like that extra 8 qts is safe for now. -JW

For the benefit of my neighbors I checked out the Watsonville store and the American stuff is gone, only 2 qts. of gold remain there. I also took a detour and checked out the Hollister store where they have a full rack of Katerina gold. Salinas all the way to King City doesn't stock it. I hope this may save someone a trip. John

It should be called fools green! Thanks for checking John. I was gonna go there during a Monterey trip. What's left on my list if I get time: Richmond, Vallejo, Napa, Modesto, Tracy, Stockton... I'll probably hit the first 3 within a few weeks. It's nice to have a girl; you *have* to go on trips. That means lotsa AZ's on the way!
