This is my first cut and post so bear with me if there’s some errors. Yes I could’ve ran it way more, but wanted to drain the Restore and protect earlier than the usual 5k, and was not sure if the filter was going to be overloaded like some others I’ve seen on here. But I wasn’t running any other cleaners in the oil, and my engine wasn’t sludged up to begin with, so I was wrong. Luckily I have two more identical Titaniums just like it, same date code and everything. 166th day of 2023. Bought all of them when AAP was clearing out their stores at the beginning of the year so I got them cheap anyways. Enjoy!

Looks good. Ya got any close up pics of the leaf spring? That’s what the problem has been with those filters, ripples/ridges on the leaf spring.

Looks like a "semi-OG" Titanium. Has holes in the center tube and wire backed media (can tell by the fat looking pleats), but has no leaf spring seal on the end cap. Fram seemed to get rid of the leaf spring first before going to louvers and non-wire backed media.

Fram web site still shows wire backed and holes for Titanium 🤷
They might not all be that way anymore. No more AAPs in my area, so can't even look at an AAP store. Date code on the OP's filter was about 2 years ago.

Flashlight test attempt, the light is barely coming through, what do y’all think? Made sure to push the leaf spring in all the way

Filter looks real good. Thank You for cut and post friend.

I just don’t understand why Fram website wouldn’t be up to date
Probably because they didn't update it ... sometimes updates don't even happen, or it takes a very long time. Got a link to that video so we can see what the date code was on filter shown in post 9?

^^^ A flashlight test will show if there is a leak path. The larger the gap, the larger the light leakage will look. @Glenda W. measured the leak gaps on an Endurance that showed a major light leak.

Caveat
You can’t measure the magnitude of the leak without specific testing
Calculations notwithstanding

The calculation is going to pretty close if you know how to do it. A big gap like what was measured wasn't a trivial leak path.

Thanks for the c&p!

I use to seek these out but they’re no longer wire backed, don’t have the OG media anymore, and have louvers.
