Once upon a time I found a link or an actual email address to a site where you could buy wix filters and if you bought $50 or more you did not pay for shipping, Does anyone know this web site or another like it as I have lost this web address somehow.

While we're on the subject, how much does the average filter cost from that web site? I know you need to ask for a quote, but how much for, say, an FL-1A type filter?

I just used Filter1 for the first time a few weeks back, and I am very happy.

Kestas, you don't need to ask for a quote at filter1. Once you are signed up as a user, you can just fill out the quick form and get an instant price on any filter they have.

Kanling, I found the S&H charges at fleetfilter absolutely ridiculous. They wanted around $19 to ship a case of oil filters. Yeah there prices are slightly lower, but I think that is very misleading.

That's funny. I found their shipping rate reasonable. My order was mixed, oil and air filters. I guess it depends on where you live, too. Definitely it is smart to confirm shipping before ordering and check prices at both places.

I'm very happy with the Napa Gold filters ordered thru the FleetFilter.com site.

Even with the shipping, cost was only $5.00 each, for a quantity of six, vs. the $7.50 (including sales tax) I was paying locally.

Blue; Based on what you say, the filters from Filter1 are a better buy. I paid $4.50 delivered for a Dodge Cummins filter that cost over $10 locally at NAPA. If you do comprehensive work (fuel, trans, air, cabin as well as oil filters) on your car or a few, it is pretty easy to meet the minimum $50 order for shipping.

I crunched the number between Filter1 and Fleetfilter and also found fleetfilter the better deal bottom line even with shipping. I saved a WHOLE bunch compared to buying the filters locally at the Napa or the Wix stockist and I'll bet that's true witheither company. Both seem to have sterling reputations.

One of them must have adjusted thier numbers. I did a number crunch about six months ago on a dozen filters and Filter1 came out as the better deal...at least to KS anyway.

I have to pay taxes for the purchase from Fleet Filter. So I buy air, cabin and oil filters from Filter1 and take advantage of free shipping.

I've bought a few there.

I second this. I have an order in transit right now consisting of nothing but Wix filters; fuel & air for my truck, and two oil filters each for my two vehicles. The price is not bad at all.

Trip-7 No taxes as long as you are not a New York resident. Since they are located in NY, they must charge sales tax unless they ship out of state.

Brad Before I found Filter1 I bought Wix from Rock. As memory serves, the filter I pay $4.50 for delivered from F1 was about $6 plus shipping from Rock. Compared to $10 from NAPA, both are a good deal! I love Rock Auto, they are a good deal for filters, just not the best.
