So you want to save your money for other groceries or are you not able to finish 1 gallon in a week?I used to purchase quality guns and tools. What have your investments been?
Today, I lowered my expectations. I only bought a 1/2 gallon of milk. Never know at my age and condition.
I mean it doesn't have to do with your age and condition right? left over milk in the fridge or another $2 in the bank is just a rounding error when you die either way.
When I go shopping, I only buy 3 Bananas at a time. Cause you never know.,,,,

When I bought it in 1999 I didn’t think my Toro Personal Pace lawnmower would outlast me but it’s still running like a top. I just turned 61 so we’ll see lol.
And not green.
Many members above didn't stand the test of time either

my first car was a B20 4 speed manual with ice cold AC and severe rust. That's why for a while I watched vlogs by David Bello and it took me back to a time when I was in love with the cars. I even have a repair manual that was sold through the mail and a three ring binder.

We've ordered a 2025 car. I'm hoping this will fall into the category at hand. Statistically it probably doesn't, but intentionally I hope it does. It's literally double in price vs. the last new car purchased 13.5 years ago. In thinking about this, my salary has not doubled over the same time period. So I'm spending more towards a car today, than in 2011.

A few weeks ago, we got rid of the Audi Q5 and bought a new Honda Pilot. My wife and I are retiring soon. After my 2020 Ram 1500 with 8,500 miles was totaled in a massive hail storm 1.5 years ago, we decided not to replace it. We need to believe our only car will be reliable as we get older, and after a second engine recall came out on our Audi about a month ago, bought the Honda. Besides, our German Shepherd Dog had to scrunch down a bit in the back of the Audi and he can sit fully upright in the Pilot, even with his ears perked.

Bananas? At my age, I never buy green bananas!
Late to this party. I try to buy the absolute best that I can of anything with the intent of passing it along to future generations of Shortys. My son, or some lucky guy at my estate sale, will get a REALLY nice collection of Snap-on tools that are nearly 50 years old , but look and work like brand new. Consumables I am a bit more frugal, but still, quality toilet paper is way better than cheap stuff
