So, I figured it was time to replace the 15 year old Serta mattress I have now, along with the even older, weak framerails. Figured since I'm doing all that, I might as well pick up new sheets, and pillows. I've never bought any of this stuff before, so it was a bit of an experience.
First, I got the heaviest duty bedframe set Sears has, it was I think $70 for the twin set, comes with a lifetime warranty, and will work with my existing head and footboard. Next, I picked out their Sealy Posturepedic Sunshower Ti Plush eurotop (try saying that 5 times fast). It was 50% off, plus $110 bonus cash, plus an additional 10% off that. Included a new box spring, free delivery and haul away of the old one. I don't know anything about mattresses, but I've definitely seen enough commercials for Sealy Posturepedic that I thought it was a good brand. IT's one of those pillowtop models. I also picked up a Sealy Posturepedic Ulra-Firm pillow for side sleepers, and a cheaper BFF medium-support . This was all from Sears. You guys might have to ask the waifus to chime in on this a bit, because this is unexplored territory for me. The mattress with boxspring, delivery, and haul away was $480 (Originally $1300), and the pillows $15 total.
I then went over to Penneys, and ordered a Wamsutta 778tc Sateen sheet set with free delivery which was about $90. Now nothing to do but wait for it all to be delivered. Opinions?
