I have liked this vehicle ever since I saw it a couple years ago. I like the size. I plan on getting rid of my Toyota GR86 in the future. Any thoughts on this vehicle?

Is this the one with the 3 Cylinder engine ?
I have been wondering myself how they are holding up ?
Too bad the envista isn't offered in 4wd .

I like the Encore GX myself. And I like its size too!
And I am not knocking it nor am I saying that the GX is a poor quality nor an unreliable vehicle. It's a nice vehicle but, it's no more than just nice for the money! And this isn't a bad review of the GX, I think it's nice! (y)

In 2023, I test drove extensively, 3 different (several days apart) Encore GX AWD from 3 different dealerships. I just wanted to see the consistency of quality between them. Sadly, their MSRP's were more than I thought they should be and for the vehicle(even with GM discounts). For that money in the subcompact SUV category, I'd rather have something else even with fewer features in the larger compact SUV category. The sad thing about a more premium vehicle/division such as BUICK is that you're not necessarily get a better vehicle for the money. But, to each his/her own!
The Envista is a better value! :giggle:
The Envision, Now that's a nice BUICK! ;)
The Enclave, nicer still but it's HUGE! 😃

I thought the Encore GX's that I tested were nice vehicles. And in BUICK fashion, they were nicely quiet & decent riding subcompact SUV that made decent power for having only a 1.3L - 3 cylinder turbo engine w/9 speed automatic tranny(155 hp/174 lb ft tq).

Sadly, the EPA fuel economy for the GX was the same as the larger/heavier Chevy Equinox/GMC Terrain with their 1.5L 4 cylinder Turbo engine(175 hp/203 lb ft tq) 6 speed auto/9 speed auto respectively. And though BUICK is a more premium division of GM and the GX is/may be a more premium subcompact SUV compared to others in it subcompact segment, I didn't find the GX to be a more premium vehicle over the Equinox/Terrain for the similar money. Again, similar money!

The money that I am talking about for the Encore GX's that I test drove were between $36K-$38K. And for that money, I would just rather have something else. They would be great subcompact SUV's for under $30K(in 2023). And YES, their base MSRP may be < $30K however, you'd be getting the 1.2L 3 cylinder Turbo FWD(137 hp/162 lb ft tq).

I mean, if you like it, buy it! If you can get a killer deal on one, that would add to the splendor of the BUICK experience. I don't criticize those who buy a GX...You won't be getting a bad vehicle. I just think there are better vehicles for the money.
