I've read that Labatt's Blue was popular in the US somewhere.
But I guess our big brand beers would be:
Molson Canadian
Labatt Blue
Alexander Keith's IPA
Sleemans of all sorts
Moosehead
Rickards
But the big American beers sell very well here too. I think the main difference is that the big Canadian beers are quite varied in comparison to the most popular US beers, and companies like Sleemans and Keiths make several different styles of beer. Keiths even has hops series with several different beers with different hops in them. Some taste sort of like what cutting the lawn smells like, but I haven't found one that was bad.
Anyways, at my friends cottage weekend coming up, there will probably be 10-15 different beers from Europe, Canada, US, maybe Mexico, maybe Japan, between the 6 of us. Many micro brews, some US light beer, some Russian Imperial Stout(quite a good winter beer) and everything inbetween.
